Could body in New Jersey solve longtime local mystery?
More than a year and a half after Vartasha McCullough White went
to prison for the murder of her daughter, Kenande Bennett, Conway
police are back on the case, according to spokesperson Catina Hipp.

Police are sending a DNA profile completed on Bennett at the time
of her disappearance to New Jersey police, who have an
unidentified body that has “some similar characteristics” to Bennett.
A Galivants Ferry woman has been charged with driving under the
influence after the car she was driving rear-ended a van carrying 13
people at the intersection of U.S. 501 and Four Mile Road Monday
at about 9 p.m.

All of the occupants of the van, parents with their children, were
taken to Conway Medical Center for treatment, but no one was
seriously injured, according to the Conway Police Department’s
spokeswoman Catina Hipp.
