Everyone said how awesome it was for all of the media companies to come together for the Katrina
Victims, and how awesome it is that you now come together once a year for them. We thank and
appreciate all of our media companies for all that you do in our communities. However, wouldn’t it be
just as awesome if you guys came together permanently (on one common project) for the hungry
child, the abused woman, the lost teenager, a lonely-dying senior citizen or an addicted man.

We know you guys compete for ratings, you compete for advertisers now we are asking all media to
compete when:

  1. A Family from our community needs to know where they can get something to eat.
  2. A teenager is 20 seconds from committing suicide.
  3. A mother is about to dispose of her newborn baby in a garbage-can.
  4. A woman is being beaten to death, because she does not know who to turn to or where to go.
  5. A run-a-way child has to sleep on the street because they don’t know where a safe house is.
  6. A parent does not know how to minister CPR to her dying child because she was unaware of the courses that
were offered at the community center.
  7. Boys and girls are joining gangs because they do not about the alternatives or other programs.
  8. Six and seven year old children are home alone after school because mom does not know about the church
program that offers basic care for free.
  9. Students are failing their grades and do not know about the free tutoring program at the church in their
    community.

The Awesome Thing about our local citizens and community organizations is that there is a service or
person for every need, no matter what it is. The Bad Thing is that the persons in need do not know
how to access the service or person, and the individual or organization does not know how or can not
afford to properly advertise their services.

We have a responsibility to make this information as readily available and accessible as possible.
This information is currently not available (individuals have to search too long and too hard for it).
Only WELL FUNDED PROGRAMS GET MAJOR EXPOSURE. Programs are available in every
community, but the individuals that need them are not aware of them.  We want to put all of this
information at everyone’s finger tips.

WE DESIRE TO CREATE ONE “OFFICIAL” COMMUNITY CALENDAR,
that all can use, that has the most up-to-date and accurate information available at all times.
There will be less work on your staff, additional services for you to offer, & accurate reporting on ALL
activities.

Our Country Has the
AMBER ALERT, THE EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM, & SECURITY ALERT LEVELS
As A Community We Must Get To & Stay on HIGH ALERT
There are women, children and men at war and losing their lives every day here in our own
neighborhood!
(we know, because you report it)
We know the most important tool in a war is communication.
We must setup effective communications before anyone can proceed effectively and win…
This Joint Community Calendar will prevent and solve many issues in our communities!
WE WANT TO EXPOSE ALL SERVICES THAT ARE BENEFICIAL TO YOUTH.

Organizations with National, State, Local or Community programs that benefit youth are encouraged
to add their program to the directory (the program does not have to be a registered, or licensed
program, however programs must include a detailed outline including all features, services,
operating times and conditions and all responsible staff.  Background checks will be performed on all
programs before we refer youth or parents to them. The network will conduct a thorough screening
of all programs submitted to the directory.

The directory is set-up by community (not alphabetical order, religion or economic status).
Our desire is to make youth and parents aware of the services that are available in their own
community, so that when services are needed these services can be quickly accessed and
administered.  This Network will expose all services, gifts and talents and will also expose which
communities are in need of what types of services.
